Ally's Back!

Just a quick update to let everyone know that Ally is not only walking, but she's back up on her skis! I am a little late in posting -- she actually made her return to the slopes back on January 31, but life is busy and we've actually been spending our free time skiing again as we usually do. Odd for ski season to begin at the end of January, but that is what it feels like. The routine for the past few years has been up and at it early on Saturdays and Sundays and out to the slopes, but it hasn't happened this year. Even though the rest of us could ski over the past 8 weeks, no one really felt like it, so it didn't happen very much.

I'm not sure Ally loved skiing as much as the rest of us before, but something inside her got switched on over the past few weeks and now she can't wait to be out there. Maybe too much sitting around for a five year old... maybe she realized what was being missed. Doesn't matter to me -- I'm just glad to have her back. Right now we are sticking to the easier terrain, but my guess is we'll be back to the big mountain by March. Tyler is cranking too -- back to the woods and the terrain park, and actually beginning to grab some air on his jumps. Cool to watch. I'm back to praying for snow, and anxious for a few grown-up ski days to get out and make some turns.
